Quirky me!

Okay this may be one of those post that tells alittle more of my crazy side then I am normally willing to show, but oh well. I was tagged by my darling sister Megan who I can always count on to help remind me just how weird I am.

Rules: link the person who tagged you. Mention these rules on your blog.

Tell 6 UNSPECTACULAR Quirks about yourself and tag 6 fellow bloggers.

1. I am terrified of Grasshoppers! They are so unpredictable. You think you can run passed them but they somehow always manage to jump right on to your leg, or arm. It is the worst felling to have one of these suckers on your body. I wish I had an audio tape of what happens when one lands on me.

2. I have crocked pinky fingers. Yes, both of them. No, they were not crushed as a small child, I was born like this. I do know of one other person who has them too. It makes for interesting conversation at parties though.

3. When eating Pizza I always order Pepperoni, but I always pick off the Pepperoni. Why not just order a Cheese Pizza you say, well that would be just to NORMAL.

4. After the carpet is freshly vacuumed, I try to go as long as I can without walking on it.(sometimes days) At least the main areas. I will walk right along the edge to the couches so a not to mess up the nice vacuum lines. I think this is a problem that goes back to my Grandma Mitchell, who always loved the way her Blue Living room carpet looked just after it had been vacuumed.

5. I am a list maker, everyday I make a list of all the things I need/want to do that day. I usually put it on a Yellow post-it note for some reason. When I finish a task I but a little check next to what I have done. When I am lying in bed trying to fall asleep, I will think of something to add to the list, and immediately jump out of bed and add it to the list, so I don't forget it by morning.

6. I hate to sleep on my stomach. Flat on my back or on my left side only! However after I have a baby, one of the first nights home from the Hospital I will spend on full night asleep on my stomach. I guess just because I wasn't able to for 9 months, even if I wanted to.

Well, there you have it. Everything you could ever want to know about me. Or everything you never wanted to know for that matter.

I tag Chaleese, Michelle Burgin(that will take me awhile to get used to), Jamie, Mindi, Jessica H. Jessica L. and anyone else who wants to do it.

It's funny you mention the carpet thing because I remember going home with you after school on more than one occasion and doing that. I still think you guys cleaned your carpets more than anyone I know! I love it, though.

I know how you feel about the carpet lines and post it notes. I think it's genetic. Brent knows how to close both front room blinds without touching the carpet (finally, after 10 years of marriage!)It involves a long jump and some furniture climbing. And my kids freak out if anyone steps on the carpet after I've vacuumed. The funny thing is that I rarely vacuum these days, but people always comment on how clean my carpet is. You're normal to me, but maybe I'm crazy too.
Love the new pics of the boys. Garrett has the same vest.

Our boys always have the same outfits, we must be related, and have good taste.

Luke is the same way with the carpet. . . .or at least he use to be. Funny how quick things change when you have little tornandos- I mean little boys who like to destroy clean houses.

BTW-I think it was MR. Potato head, the flower shot water out his hat I'm sure that's why it was on there. :0)

Man, we come from some pretty messed up genes. I think you, me, and Hollie could all copy and paste each other's quirks on our own blogs- minus the stomach sleeping. I find myself doing that every once in a while. Oh, and minus the pinky fingers. Mine happen to be straight, long, and rather work-like.

That was a great post! I was just sitting here laughing as I imagined you panic at the sight of a grasshopper or hugging the walls of your house after vacuuming. Things I never knew about you!
