Seans New J.O.B.

Yes, he has a new job! I have been hesitant to blog about this because I wasn't 100% sure it would really happen. Let me take you back to October. After months, and months of looking for and applying for probably hundreds of jobs with little to no response he had 3 interviews in one week with 3 different companies. One called him back for a second interview but it was in Sandy and we did not want to be that far south. Another we herd nothing from, and the third company wanted him to start the following Monday, but we just didn't fell good about it. Then the following week he got a call from another company. It was a great company but the positions is commission not salary. I was very nervous about this and still am alittle but Sean was so excited to work for this company that I really needed to be supportive. So he had a second interview then had a meeting with the partners, then he was offered the job. He took his state test on Monday and passed, now we just have to wait for the state to send his Licence which we all know how quickly our government works so probably 3-4 weeks. We are very excited and nervous but we really hope it works out. He will be working for New York Life as an agent. He still has to get afew more licences so he can sell, IRA's 401k's, and stocks and bonds so he will basically be doing investments which is what he enjoys and has wanted to do for a long time. He still plans on working for the Airline the first few months part time as well just to make sure we have some set income So whats next for us? Well I'm certainly not boxing up our belongings yet but hopefully soon. I'm to the point where our neighbors 10x10 shed is starting to look appealing! But we really hope this will be a good move for us and our family, change can be a scary thing but it can also open doors to alot of wonderful changes.

3–4 weeks? You have a very optimistic view about our government :) I'm excited for you guys—especially for Sean. Nothing beats having a job that you enjoy doing.... not even a 7-digit salary. Well.... maybe.

My Grandpa on my mom's side trains New York Life agents in Washington. They're a good company.

That sounds great! I know it is scary. Derick switched jobs back last April and is now a Financial Adviser for Wells Fargo. (Same field as Sean just got into). He loves it and is very good at it. Sean will do awesome.
